Little Boltons Flat

Chelsea, London

This interior volume creates an immediate sense of space and light drawing attention to its Silver Travertine stone wall, encapsulated within the free flowing open plan space. The emphasis of a pale tonal palette permit the strong horizontal forms of the stone to permeate into its surroundings. The structural reconfiguration allows for the internal volume to be opened up flooding the interior with natural light. The result is a sequence of spaces more in tune with contemporary living styles accommodating the functions of kitchen, dining, living and library. The Siberian Larch stair treads gently ascend the stone, bathed in the illumination from the roof light overhead, guiding the way to the generous private quarters on the floor above.
